Residents Briefing on Wednesday 19th December - 90 South Street

Janice Shalhoub gave outcome.
Staff supported the height for Council approval and recommended
other things be determined under delegated authority. It was adopted on the motion of Councillor John
Willmott, seconded Councillor Anderson; in favour: Councillors Watson, Wilmott, Anderson, Kearney,
Kerr, Murphy, McCrudden and Finkernagel. Against Councillors: Ward, Green and Rudd. Others
absent. The proposed development could be considered to be consistent with the desired future
character of the Ulladulla town centre as established by Council through recent approvals within the
CBD.
Brian Richardson advised the block of land is proposed to be included within the boundary on
DCP 56.

The following motion which was carried was moved Annie Boutland, seconded Ken Smith
“that the Forum communicate with Council to the following effect

‘The U &DCF expresses concern and
disappointment at the approval of a 5 storey development at 90 South Street, Ulladulla, despite
community opposition and prior to the finalisation of the review of DCP 56. This approval further
undermines confidence in the DCP 56 review process and further demonstrates that the 6 storey
development approved in Wason Street, Ulladulla, has now set a precedent for high-rise buildings in
the Ulladulla CBD – an outcome the Mayor assured the community would not occur.’

Blessing of the Fleet
Pat Dockett reported:
Pat suggested the Forum could be interested in donating a commemorative plaque for notation each
time the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club takes part in the Festival – to be retained by them in their
Clubhouse at Pittwater. Moved Max Young seconded Wendy Richardson that the Forum purchase a
plaque to commemorate the R.P.A.Y.C. visits to Ulladulla and the maximum of $120 for it be taken out
of Forum Funds. Carried.

Pat also will investigate the idea of the Forum hosting a pre-dinner cocktail party on the Saturday night.
