Local Government Elections
will be held on the 13 September 2008

To be eligible to vote you must be over 18 and own property in the Shoalhaven area.

Non residents are entitled to vote
even if they live and vote in another local
government election,
but must register to be included on the "Non Resident Roll"  Before the 4th August.


NON RESIDENT VOTING AND ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE

1 Fill in NON RESIDENT ENROLLMENT FORM form for inclusion on the roll of non-resident owners prior to 4th August.

2 On receipt of advise that you are now on the roll apply for a POSTAL VOTE. This should be done as soon as possible. Last date to apply 8th Sep 2008. Alternatively if you plan to be in the Shoalhaven on election day then simply visit the appropriate booth.

3 Sometime after the 15th August when Nominations close a BALLOT PAPER and DECLARATION FORM 
will be sent to you. These must be returned prior to the election date 13 September 2008

Registration forms are available from
any local Council in NSW.
Voting is compulsory for residents.
